Speaking about quality and geeking out with cameras, lights, and stuff, I highly recommend content that @GeraldUndone and @calebpike are producing. Gerald is a mad scientist from whom I learned a lot about color. And Caleb is like a Macgyver with his crazy setups and ideas.

@Gargron @elwizard Yeah it's a tricky situation and like... I generally feel that people should be following people, not platforms. The instance-based mechanism means that people are going to seek out an instance based on having moderation that fits their preferences, which leads to some rather peculiar stratification effects.
It's complicated and tricky and I am just so tired of everything regarding social media, Mastodon included.
