Shoutout to everyone making YouTube videos. It takes a lot to be a filmmaker, producer, graphic designer, marketer, and provide customer service to the public.

As a follow-up from the other day, I decided to give Cryptpad a shot. It felt like a good middle ground between a huge suite of tools like Nextcloud and plain text files.

It seems to be working great. People can collaborate together, it doesn't require accounts (but you can have them), so people with the link can anonymously contribute, plus there's just enough "drive" type functionality where you can store files and organize things.

Today we enter a new stage in our journey at Auth0 🚀 . The deal with Okta is closed!

We declined several acquisition offers over the years, including a handful from Okta.

So why did we say yes this time? Thread 🧵

When I was a teenager I wrote an implementation of the lightcycle game from TRON for CP/M. One of the cycles literally broke through a wall and escaped into system memory, crashing the system. Just like in the movie. I laughed SO hard when I realized what was going on.

This flew (pun intended) against conventional wisdom. Wald argued that planes that came back survived being shot in those places. Those planes that didn't...were shot in the clear places. This came to be known as an example of survivor bias.
