I think my experiment in programmatic ads for my online community lasted a whole 4 days. User experience is not great despite only having 2 ad units, and discourse forums are not blocking ads for patrons as they're supposed to. Not worth the $200-$400 per month.

Hey... this is a truly minor point in the context of the implosion of a company but I heartily recommend that your primary email address use a domain that you own in case the founder of your email service poisons the domain that they provide.

I think the business is referred to as „identity management“, not „identity“, which also might explain the different perspectives. Discussions about „Identity“ tend to be a rather philosophical while „identity management“ is about enabling use cases w/ suitable technology.
