Anyway if you're wondering what you've been missing on Twitter, today Twitter started instantly autobanning anyone who said the word "Memphis" and did not figure out what had happened and fix it for like six hours

The entire time people were experimentally tweeting "Wait, do you really get banned if you say 'Memphis'?" and getting banned

Many people celebrate DST. All rituals are very weird when you consider them! For example, gathering once a year to eat turkey is very weird. Stringing lights on a tree in the winter is weird. When traditions are popular or old, it doesn't make them more or less normal.

A number of accounts that Tweeted the word “Memphis” were temporarily limited due to a bug. It’s been fixed and the accounts have now been restored. We’re sorry this happened.

every time I think about NFT art I just get angry again at how stupid the whole thing is, not like stupid as in "new faddish stuff may not hold water", stupid as in literally the entire premise is fucking idiotic, you're paying for a receipt that says "i paid money" and that's it

This is a clever idea. They’re tokens you can buy that have a guaranteed value and can be transferred to other owners as needed, and they’re fairly privacy-robust—there’s nothing tying your identity to any particular token. Low environmental impact, too. https://kmikeym.myshopify.com/products/0-25-unit-fungible-token
