YouTube isn’t rubbing it’s hands together figuring out how to screw Creators...

It’s figuring out how to sort through 15 years of old junk code and keep the platform together with duct tape... and keep 2 Billon people happy...

I’m shocked it works as well as it does honestly...

I'm incredibly skeptical of the Dutch security researcher's claims, and I'd encourage waiting for independent confirmation before spreading that news story.

Twitter's own security plan for high-profile candidates makes the claims extremely dubious. https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/company/2020/Improved-Account-Security-2020-US-Election.html

I used a tool called Hammerspoon, some Lua and some Python to build a mute indicator light for Zoom. Here's how to do it yourself! https://developer.okta.com/blog/2020/10/22/set-up-a-mute-indicator-light-for-zoom-with-hammerspoon

I guess this serves as your occasional reminder that voter file data is generally just chilling out there for political parties (or anyone else) to buy, at most behind a $200 paywall or something and an agreement to only use the data for approved purposes

We really need to stop calling online events “webinars” because that term has been ruined over the last decade by horribly boring activations.

We can continue to call boring slide heavy, text heavy online meetings “Webinars” so we know what to avoid.
