    I guess this serves as your occasional reminder that voter file data is generally just chilling out there for political parties (or anyone else) to buy, at most behind a $200 paywall or something and an agreement to only use the data for approved purposes

    That we are still treating “name” and “date of birth” as security credentials for online voter registration in 2020 is just crazy. Oregon’s voter registration site was literally waiting to be hacked. Its also a pretty good reason why we are a long way away from online voting.
