Even in my darkest moments in 2016, I didn't picture myself in 2020 casually telling Matt that I'm making dinner from our pandemic rations because I forgot to get groceries before the police curfew.

Woke up. Checked the news. Yup, racism is still wrong and half our country is more focused on temporary property damage than the permanent erasure of Black American lives at the hands of law enforcement.

Most of the protestors are COMPLETELY PEACEFUL. Can't you focus on that?

I’ve been studying nonreactivity in buddhism. It’s one of the tactics of the path and also a goal. Today I noticed that Twitter and Facebook are built around literally giving a voice to your reactivity. Blogs were too, but they weren’t as effective.
