This is my configuration today for guesting on @thatcrtvlife podcast with @saradietschy. I had a lot of fun, but this setup definitely got a little "undone". 😜🤓👍

Be careful - if you plan to feed audio from the F6 to camera 3.5mm microphone input, there's a known issue where you'll get plenty of noise. Not an issue on cameras like GH5S which can take line level audio. Only for cameras with mic level only inputs.

Omg I have watched his excellent videos and had no idea he was at Okta!

PS Aaron, ATEM doesn’t need to program@existing buttons. It could just have a set of function keys that are unused by default like a tv remote.

If your Zoom presence wasn’t the most captivating, it’s about to be a consistent show stealer! BTW, if you’re in need of Atem mini tips/tricks, @aaronpk (of Okta no less) is the best resource. His YouTube recordings are great.

Still funny to me all this talk about SF/Silicon Valley finally going remote. The irony of an industry built on open source work that was done 99% "remotely."

If you are presenting content online w/o any audience interaction... you should call that “making a video” and stop doing it live over Zoom. Learn to edit, get a camera, start making something actually watchable.

Talking over text-laden PowerPoint slides was never a good idea.

Our weekly delivery from Imperfect Foods included some fairly below average pears. Tonight, I sliced one up and tossed it into a tumbler of Makers Mark. Now, they’re the best pears in history. 🥃 🍐 🎉

You don't really know an app until you can show someone how to use it over Zoom without screen sharing.

As of today, Shopify is a digital by default company. We will keep our offices closed until 2021 so that we can rework them for this new reality. And after that, most will permanently work remotely. Office centricity is over.

We need fediverse (or at least distributed foss) virtual worlds. I'm tired of missing parties because they're in animal crossing.

I think it's pretty telling that web-first content creators are willing to turn their homes into full production studios but late night talk show hosts seem unwilling to make basic sacrifices to make their quarantine shows watchable
