Feel it out. Figure out what type of shots would help COMPLIMENT the main story you want to tell. Practically, that would be establishing shots, close ups, push in shots, etc. Play with different shots!

Local-first software: You own your data, in spite of the cloud

    April 6th, 2020

The cloud gives us collaboration, but old-fashioned apps give us ownership. Can’t we have the best of both worlds?

We would like both the convenient cross-device access and real-time collaboration provided by cloud apps, and also the personal ownership of your own data embodied by “old-fashioned” software.

This is a very in-depth look at the mindset and the challenges involved in building truly local-first software—something that Tantek has also been thinking about.

This is an all time favorite and is made primarily with black beans and sweet potatoes, which both keep for a long time if stored well. You can replace the cherry tomatoes with canned diced tomatoes, or just leave them out. If you don't have jerk seasoning, you can double the rest of the spices.

I now have a battery-powered, Wi-Fi connected, Siri-enabled digital status sign on my office door. I'll post some pictures, videos, and details later, but its pretty awesome to be able to say "Hey Siri, don't bother daddy!" 🙅🏻‍♂️

    Look I’m sorry.

But if your shtick is hustle/workaholic culture you are getting muted.

Some of you are great people. But I don’t need to hear how much more I should be doing right now when I feel like I’m going at max effort.

See you in a few months.
