My time at @Vonage is coming to an end. I have ~10 years experience with #devrel or devrel-adjacent work and have given over 100 talks in the last 5 years. If you're in need of a developer advocate/community person with some management experience, let's chat!

This is a wonderful explanation of OAuth. Go and watch @aaronpk tell you a couple of scary stories how websites handled sign-in just a few years ago, and how OAuth changed all of that for the better.

In an attempt to sway the algorithm, I just configured my Twitter to mute everyone I'm following and only unmute 15 random followers each day.

Do any of you do unusual things to give yourself more control over algorithmic feeds?

Open Wifi Security (Friday evening rant)

    1) Yes, at our @nordic_choice hotels we have open wifi as standard. No Client<->AP encryption (WPA/23), and no captive portal to logon to.

Let me first explain some obvious reasons for doing so. (Often disregarded by infosec pros.)

Matt's tweet thread started with a "year of Linux on the desktop" quip, but if you do 95% of your work in a web browser, it's not really the year of LINUX on the desktop, it's the year of WEB on the deskop.

Which is not for me, but I'm glad it works for him!
