My fervent wish for #WordCamp in 2020 would be for all badges to show preference for featuring people's websites (over Twitter) and for speakers to say, "Contact me on/through my website" instead of saying, "Ping me on the birdsite."

I'm against that personally and purposefully left it out of here. That's something we had in OAuth 2 but almost no clients ever did anything proactive with it. There's a pervasive myth of proactive smart OAuth clients when the reality is much dumber, and that's a good thing.

Happy Halloween Eve! It’s time for another year of my all-time favourite festivity, Tokyo’s mundane Halloween costume party, where folks dress up as an utterly normal and boring thing

Here are my favourite costumes from the 2019 event this past weekend

Alan Jacobs is right that any revitalized indieweb blogosphere depends not just upon writers of blogs but readers, who “have all been trained by social media to skim the most recent things and then go on to something else”. https://blog.ayjay.org/on-blogging/

My favorite line (which was unscripted) from tomorrow’s video.

“I can tell you from experience that I don’t actually make any cameras...I just complain about them on the internet”

I got myself to laugh at myself editing that one 🤣
