I read the definition of “hypertext,” looked at an example, and thought: why would you ever want to click on a blue word in the middle of a paragraph to load a new page when you haven’t even finished the paragraph!?! This is “web” thing is going nowhere.

For people working on ActivityPub implementations I just wrapped up a nice chat with the folks of https://homebrewserver.club in Amsterdam (@manetta @rra and others). It was all via document editing and you can read the whole thing starting at line 188 in this document

    https://pad.vvvvvvaria.org/ap

It's a bit disorganized and I think they are going to digest it into a blog post or similar but for now this may be helpful to people who are puzzling their way through ActivityPub implementation!

I had a nightmare last night where everyone informed me that I've been saying the word "booth" wrong my entire life. Every time I tried to correct my pronunciation and ask, "Okay, is THIS how you say it?" people would just smirk and giggle. Horrifying

so using certbot-auto and prefered challenge dns for subdomain wildcard and TLD it wants you create two TXT records in DNS for same _acme_challenge but AWS Route 53 doesn’t allow duplicate TXT records. 😂

As it bears repeating, a couple of words about promoting your favourite technology in a way people appreciate (in my timeline, often Rust). Its a couple of rough notes of what I do and recommend others to do.

It's a standard I try to set in my communities.
