I read the definition of “hypertext,” looked at an example, and thought: why would you ever want to click on a blue word in the middle of a paragraph to load a new page when you haven’t even finished the paragraph!?! This is “web” thing is going nowhere.

For people working on ActivityPub implementations I just wrapped up a nice chat with the folks of https://homebrewserver.club in Amsterdam (@manetta @rra and others). It was all via document editing and you can read the whole thing starting at line 188 in this document

    https://pad.vvvvvvaria.org/ap

It's a bit disorganized and I think they are going to digest it into a blog post or similar but for now this may be helpful to people who are puzzling their way through ActivityPub implementation!

I had a nightmare last night where everyone informed me that I've been saying the word "booth" wrong my entire life. Every time I tried to correct my pronunciation and ask, "Okay, is THIS how you say it?" people would just smirk and giggle. Horrifying

Reading the #micropub spec. Seems simple enough, would anyone benefit from us adding that? Is anyone using that?

so using certbot-auto and prefered challenge dns for subdomain wildcard and TLD it wants you create two TXT records in DNS for same _acme_challenge but AWS Route 53 doesn’t allow duplicate TXT records. 😂

All #IndieWeb functionality now lives in a dedicated sub modules, so you can actually choose which ones to enable. That was a fun refactoring :) #drupal #longlivetests

As it bears repeating, a couple of words about promoting your favourite technology in a way people appreciate (in my timeline, often Rust). Its a couple of rough notes of what I do and recommend others to do.

It's a standard I try to set in my communities.

TFW you wake up to find new people have bought shares in you and you don’t know why and it’s exciting and scary and then you see the article in the mailing list that shows you decapitated and it all makes sense and you think “it’s going to be a good Sunday.”
