What is the absolute closest thing to GitHub Gist that can be self-hosted?

In terms of design and functionality. Hosts images and markdown, rendered. Creates links that can be private or public. Uses/requires registration.

I have looked at dozens of pastebin-like things.

I'm Belarusian. Seeing more and more hate against Belarusians as a result of Lukashenko's participation in Putin's atrocious war against Ukraine, I have a few things to say.

I think this boils down to discoverability problem. If people are sharing posts they write, the algorithm isn't serving them up. Missing the days of blogrolls.
