I never really cared about YouTube rewind since it always seemed to focus on such a select few creators. If they made one this year I think it would come off tone deaf.

I get a lot of requests for coding tests in my videos, but I'm the farthest thing from a coder.

So to all the coders out there I hear you and want to include you.

Is there a program I can buy or run to give you a sense of the power of a tablet/computer?

Can we please stop calling Republicans the "grand old party"? It's a kind of nostalgic gaslighting and marketing move, harkening to a "good old boys club" and "GOP" implies anyone else is inferior by comparison.

    Deep piano

    Aaron Parecki
It never even occurred to me that there might be new ways to teach/learn piano now, after having not taken lessons in like 20 years. But I guess it's still the same anyway.

The first thing I like about the mandalorian is every episode has the exact right amount of tension and conflict and the second thing I like is that when I see the baby I say “baby!” to myself

Japan has 1700 miles of high-speed train lines that can go up to 200 mph. The system has been in use for half a century.

it's just, really astounding, how much americans completely fail to acknowledge that the rest of the world exists, and in many cases has solved problems much better than we have, but we have pathalogical "not invented here" syndrome.
yes it would be cool to have 600mph trains.

@aaronpk does Okta support the OAuth device code grant type and/or the oob redirect (urn:ietf:params:oauth:grant-type:device_code / urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob)?

If not, any thoughts on how one might obtain an OIDC ID token from Okta at the command line on a remote machine?
    Aaron Parecki
It doesn't support the device code flow out of the box (yet), but here are some options for how to do it on the command line with the auth code flow: https://developer.okta.com/blog/2018/07/16/oauth-2-command-line https://developer.okta.com/blog/2019/06/18/command-line-app-with-nodejs
