  • Blockchain, the amazing solution for almost nothing - The Correspondent (thecorrespondent.com)

I have never seen a website bend over backwards, including adding additional unwanted features, just to avoid removing one extremely problematic user.

I'm incredibly skeptical of the Dutch security researcher's claims, and I'd encourage waiting for independent confirmation before spreading that news story.

Twitter's own security plan for high-profile candidates makes the claims extremely dubious. https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/company/2020/Improved-Account-Security-2020-US-Election.html

I work with OAuth all the time, it was shocking to learn how much I didn’t know about it. Talking to @aaronpk and reading his book was super enlightening!

All these kids bitching about the changes to retweet, and here I am reminiscing about when there was no retweet function and we invented it by typing “RT”. #getoffmylawn

Just had a great chat with @gffletch @vibronet and @DickHardt at IIW. Notes were a bit short, so let me try to capture some of what I heard before I forget (doing this over twitter so that you can join the party and jump in).

I guess this serves as your occasional reminder that voter file data is generally just chilling out there for political parties (or anyone else) to buy, at most behind a $200 paywall or something and an agreement to only use the data for approved purposes
