It's worth remembering that users don't care what version of Webpack or Rollup you're using. They just care if the app works and it's fast. Devs love to sprint to embrace some new tool that's supposedly going to make their own life easier (TypeScript, hot reloading, linters, faster build times, whatever). This kind of stuff has approximately zero impact on the user experience, though. And arguments that dev experience trickles down to user experience are largely wrong. https://infrequently.org/2018/09/the-developer-experience-bait-and-switch/

I’m gonna say it now… I’m hosting an epic YouTuber party with piles of meat and alcohol once this thing is over, for those who’ll travel to my little corner of Oregon.

Looks like there's a good bike path from Medford to Ashland? I've been wanting an excuse to fly with my folding bike somewhere!

i promise you it's not.... more tech in cars... that'll make things safer for cyclists. it's:

    a) cycling infrastructure
    b) ....................fewer cars

I ignore them unless I want to work with them.

I don't feel bad at all, there is only so much of my time.

Most of my comment pruning is in banning/deleting.

I answer comments for the first hour a video is live, then I try and cultivate a place where people can respectfully talk amongst themselves.

I like this. What's your trick for handling all the questions I assume you get via email? I feel bad ignoring them, but I also actually can't respond to everyone.

I just realized I never went jet-skiing with @johnhilltube because I never followed through booking a time after buying on groupon 😑 UGH
Is why companies do groupon? It must happen all of the time
    Aaron Parecki
That happened to me with a helicopter ride like 10 years ago. I doubt that guy's going to accept my groupon anymore 😆

Dear Lazyweb: I want an IRC solution where I can leave a IRC-Client logged into several networks and connected 24x7 via a Raspberry Pi, and then variously connect a frontend to *that* (not tmux-ssh, preferably) from {laptop, desktop, etc} over a TCP* port.

    Suggestions?

    *Onion
    Aaron Parecki
This is literally the architecture of Weechat (IRC client) and Glowing Bear (frontend). This is my IRC setup that I live in every day.
