Under normal circumstances, we would be half an hour into Donut.js right now. We hope you’re all doing okay! We miss you all a lot and can’t wait to see you again. Stay safe, wear a mask, wash your hands, and if you can find a way to eat donuts, do so. 🍩‿🍩

one day I’d love my channel to be big enough to start a second channel that is entirely BTS / making-of my videos. I think it’d be almost as interesting as the videos themselves, just to see what goes into these. Would of course require a dedicated shooter/editor. One day…🤔
    Aaron Parecki
‪I don't think that necessarily needs to be a second channel! My channel is pretty much a behind the scenes of itself. I liked your behind the scenes closing in the last video! I always get questions about the setup so it's a good idea to get a jump on those.‬

shout out to all those people with really intense interest and hobbies that have heard "you must have a lot of time on your hands" from naysayers before.
They thriving right now, while those naysayers are sitting at home trying to figure out how to fill their lockdown time.

Argrgrh THAT MOMENT when you’re watching the final render as a final check before publishing the video and spot a mistake. Not going to re-render; it took WAY too long. Now to see who notices. Damn. Sure wish you could replace a video on @YouTube like you can on @Vimeo!

    What is Micro.blog up to?

    Aaron Parecki
Well @snarfed said everything I wanted to about Micro.blog and @manton, but there's one thing I wanted to add.

Micro.blog *does* accept webmentions from external websites even if that website doesn't have a micro.blog account. That is described here: https://help.micro.blog/2017/webmention/

What you might be seeing is that some micro.blog users don't display comments on their posts, so even though they will have received your reply, you won't see it listed as a comment. It will still show up in their timeline though.

Recently, Micro.blog also added support for people to include their replies on their own blogs rather than only inside the micro.blog timeline. This is described here: https://help.micro.blog/2020/hosted-replies/ Not everyone has enabled that feature, and not everyone wants that either.

I hope this helps clear some things up. @manton is definitely 100% in support of the indieweb goals, and has done an amazing job building Micro.blog. The latest features around receiving external webmentions and hosting replies on peoples' own blogs have made it a really excellent first-class IndieWeb option.

I feel like I need an isolation vacation away from the world that's home-isolating. I've never had so many people/companies/family members all demanding attention at once. I can't keep up.

So... That's _exactly NOT_ how this works at all @Disney / @disneyplus... You can't put a TOS on someone else's platform. I am quite certain your Legal Team knows this - and you should probably consult with them. I'm sure @Twitter / @TwitterSupport would love to clear that up.

This will be my best month ever on YouTube in terms of views.

I’ve been experimenting with a new content strategy (and it’s not just topic related).

I’m excited to see it working so far and hope I have more then just one month of success to prove/disprove if I was right.
