Does anyone know of a website where you can keep a list of products you like and recommend? i.e., kids things, electronics, books, albums. Gotta be something.

@aaronpk what do those books teach the reader to do?

    Aaron Parecki
The RFC book is a reference of all the RFCs, with short intros to each. The other one is about how to build OAuth apps and servers.

Just published an updated version of my book, OAuth 2.0 Simplified! I also made a new book, The Little Book of OAuth RFCs, a collection of all the specs which are a part of OAuth. If at least one person appreciates the contrast between the sizes of these two books, I will be happy.

You can find both at https://oauth2simplified.com

it’s so interesting that the first generation of kids who were used as props by their instagram influencer moms have grown up and are now asserting their own agency. and their reaction isn’t exactly a surprise. who would want their childhood to be online like this?

  • U of T researcher helps build a more egalitarian internet (www.utoronto.ca)
"IndieWeb is composed of many small parts that allow individuals to build what works for them. Users can then figure out how to interoperate with others who favour a different approach – a strategy that builds inclusivity since there is no attempt to impose a one-size-fits-all solution"

I’ve talked to many developers who, like myself, dismiss Apple as an employer because they would have to give up their indie apps, podcasts, and blogs.

The best developers are multi-talented, ambitious people. Apple is forfeiting talent to other companies with this policy.

    Aaron Parecki
I interviewed there two years ago and decided not to pursue it for this exact reason.

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
