I’m Taking Ownership of My Tweets—zachleat.com

    September 16th, 2019

I fully expect my personal website to outlive Twitter and as such have decided to take full ownership of the content I’ve posted there. In true IndieWeb fashion, I’m taking ownership of my data.

I feel dumber and dumber with the college Java exercises. They're distant from reality, when I google them - nothing comes out aside of tutorials how to do that, which makes me assume... these algorithms have no usage in the real world.

Sometimes things like this make me want to drop programming altogether and just... go work in a nearby fast food chain. At least I'd be more useful there... 😭😭😭

Can confirm, college java exercises are not real world training. However they are meant to illustrate underlying concepts of algorithms, which you will use in the real world by finding a library that already implements it.

  • I can understand why it’s not currently a feature, but I wish Apple IDs / Sign in with Apple also offered apps a user profile photo.

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
