Probably the best thing on the G7XIII is the lens.
I wish this lens was on every point and shoot from now on. 24-100 1.8-2.8 🔥🔥
I know you don't have this anymore, but did you see the weird thing when taking a picture, the screen would continue to show the live view for a second before the preview of the photo appeared? The previous gen didn't do that. I can't figure out if there's a setting somewhere... -

motion sensor in the box, door contact sensor on the door, connected to home-assistant. node-RED flow to watch for motion without the door opening (dirty), door opens (clean), tells home-assistant to turn the light different colors!
took quite a bit to get to this point but I'm pretty happy with how quick it is to make rules like this now! -
and now the light behind the litter box glows red when it's dirty and green when it's clean! No more needing to peer into the little door to look for stuff in the box!

that's the brilliant part about this node-red platform, no coding required! As much as I'm happy to write code to make stuff work, it's nice when I don't have to!

Just made my first Node-RED flow to detect whether the litter box is dirty or clean!
1: When motion in the litter box is detected, wait 5 seconds, check if the door is closed, and if so, set to "dirty"
2: When the door is opened, set to "clean"
Took a bit to figure out all the Node-RED terminology and figuring out how to "think" in that model, but I do appreciate not having to write code to do this now!

Well I’d suggest a nifty video. IndieWeb in 5 minutes. Don’t talk about the details or the implementation (that’s tech babble). Show em what’s in for Joe. Solid reasons like displaying a feed the way you like it and not how \$silo AI decided. (Still working on that :))
That's exactly the challenge, it means different things to different people. For example that example isn't appealing to everyone, only people who are annoyed with that particular feature of silos. Other people like the "own your data" aspect. -
Accounts tweeting garbage was one of the primary threat models, of course, but I'll give you that we didn't anticipate Jack tweeting hate speech to many millions of people. 😢
