Should be set to the tune of 12 days of Christmas ;)
    Aaron Parecki

Ohhh nice! I wonder what does it require for a white desk to support being a whiteboard? Special paint or just a specific type of material?
    Aaron Parecki
I got a can of whiteboard paint from the hardware store! It comes in two parts since it's kind of an epoxy, and it takes like 4 days to cure!

My favorite recent review of the @ohmydollar podcast β€œMost finance shows are all about how to be a happy straight white family. This podcast talks about money in a way that feels relevant to my life. It’s great.”

Yaaaassss that is what I am going for.

See, now, I read that as OAuth, which is the no.1 most powerful sign that I have been working in this industry too long I have yet experienced.
    Aaron Parecki
heck I can't even type Oath without my fingers typing out OAuth instead

I *worked* at Oath and I *constantly* read it as OAuth.
    Aaron Parecki
There was someone from Oath at a recent OAuth working group meeting which wasn't confusing at all

Yay: discovering that @okta has a great article for adding OIDC authentication via nginx auth_request (https://developer.okta.com/blog/2018/08/28/nginx-auth-request)

Boo: It relies on an early-access feature that requires you to reach out to your account rep to enable. #srelife
    Aaron Parecki
Can you clarify which early-access feature that is? I didn't think this required anything special, I tested it with my developer account that has no special privileges.

Specifically Overland. Will probably write my own server component in Python, but the iOS side being done is handy.
    Aaron Parecki
Awesome. I'll gladly link to your Python server component from Overland's page if you publish the source code somewhere!

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
