Last day before I fly home to Portland and gosh is it ever nice to just...do nothing.*

(*And by "nothing" I mean "schedule a bunch of blog posts, update my tour spreadsheet, and clear out my inbox.")

Someone did an audit of the Slack blog I work on and one main conclusion was “it’s as if they don’t care about SEO at all!” and I was like oh shit he fucking NAILED my personal brand.

Reading people arguing about decentralised social web stuff makes me 50-50 want to pick back up my own implementations and make them work, and leave computing forever to hide in a cave.

The compromise between these tensions tends to be go back to my day job / pick up a book / go to the beach / make a sandwich.

@bradenslen @simonwoods @eli Twitter was the same way. Everyone on Twitter spent the first three years talking about Twitter. Eventually the masses came and discussed everything else, but if you look, there are still people talking about Twitter. I notice the same thing with Mastodon and even micro.blog.

Part of it all is also those in the IndieWeb modeling behaviours and examples to others who might also say, "That's interesting. How did you do that? How can I do that?"
