Pulled my source from Github. Hosting on a clone I wrote over the weekend in Erlang, Go and Haskell. Running on a Raspberry Pi cluster, encased in a diceware locked safe under my foot stool. Cooled by Bitcoin trader's tears and oat milk.

Talked to someone in the airport a few mins ago between flights who works for a company that matches students to jobs using the blockchain. All I can think is... Why?

    Fresher service workers, by default

    June 5th, 2018

β€œAh, this is good news!”, I thought, reading this update about how service worker scripts won’t be cached.

And that was the moment when I realised what an utter nerd I had become.

Vanilla JavaScript is a term frequently used to describe ordinary JavaScript leveraging the browser & DOM APIs. Yes, you read that correctly. No Angular, React, Vue, or even jQuery. And even better it’s not as complicated as you might assume! Learn more β†’ https://developer.okta.com/blog/2018/06/05/authentication-vanilla-js

I think IndieAuth makes a lot of sense as the way to implement a federated login protocol to provide a "simpler UX for OAuth2" login for Gitea as this issue is named.

It would also be possible to provide support for the "with GitHub" portion (as originally noted in the issue) without having to ask / wait for GitHub to implement IndieAuth, by adding https://indieweb.org/RelMeAuth support.

https://indielogin.com/ is an example of an open source service that supports both of those, IndieAuth as github.com/aaronpk suggested and RelMeAuth, and is in daily use by folks signing-into the IndieWeb.org site.
