@aaronpk Hmm ok, I will try to avoid that! Google logs location already, without an obvious drain on battery life so will try for similar.
@ShaneHudson You can definitely get good location data with very low battery usage, but not enough to draw super detailed maps like you see here http://aaronparecki.com/articles/2012/03/06/1/everywhere-ive-been-gps-data-portraits -

@aaronpk Yeah I think that is probably the nicest way too. I was surprised how often you update though, every second?! Seems bad for battery
@ShaneHudson You have no idea. :-) I carry extra batteries on me all the time. It actually uses less battery than the Strava and Moves app though!

@aaronpk Just read your post about long term archiving of GPS data. I'm about to start doing very similar :) Thanks for writing it.
@ShaneHudson np! I've just about settled on the individual rows of GeoJSON option, but haven't yet implemented anything. I'll update that post once I do!
