@aaronpk you reminded me of this, which I listened to the other day
@aaronpk I feel exactly the same! Good idea, I just have to tell the family our weekends are a little off now 😅
@aaronpk I'm good with compartmentalizing 5/2 split. Less Efficiency, its part of being human. But I also work from work 4 out of the 5. No advantage to sticking around after everyone leaves for the day.
@aaronpk I felt the same way in my 20's and 30's. I had tremendous intellectual inertia; it was hard to get started and hard to stop. It went differently in my 40's. Maybe the nature of the work changed.
Having to adjust this for different team members as a manager is tough in creative crafts like software.
@aaronpk Interesting idea. I tend to ebb and flow as to whether I do any "work" on weekends, or at least the depth of work. Example: probably working tomorrow, probably snowshoeing Monday. But 10/4 is definitely food for thought.
The 0/0 I've been enjoying this past decade has proved optimal. Only problem is I'm geezerly AF.
@aaronpk I dunno, man! I'm leaning toward a 4/10 schedule instead. Now I've to just convince my boss.
