  I’ll say it again — someone should be selling a $2500 webcam that looks as good as an annoying complicated DSLR + dummy battery + stupid capture card setup but connects with one cable and you’re done. They would be printing money.

  I just made a list of all my expected flights in 2023 and I am just *barely* going to hit @AlaskaAir MVP Gold status (40K) by the very end of the year.
  
  How did I fly so much in 2019?? I hit Gold 75K status by April in 2019! 🤯

  @aaronpk Are you already aware of the promo they have going for picking back up last year’s status if you missed out? In case useful it’s something like fly 10k through April to get Gold back (I only know because I’m in this bucket!)
  

  Yeah, that's what kicked off this whole afternoon of planning. I don't have anything planned until March and no way to hit 20K by then unless I spend $1200 for a personal trip to Copenhagen. I'm already Gold status this year, so I'm just giving up 75K.

  @aaronpk Ugh. I spent 45 wks/yr in hotels for 21 years until it came to a screeching halt in 2/20. I cannot for the life of me figure out how I lived like that.
  

  That is a long time. That's basically what I did in 2017-2019 reaching a ridiculous peak in 2019. I told myself I was going to plan smarter travel in 2020 and not do that again but that problem clearly took care of itself.

  Similar position with @Delta - in terms of miles, the rollover alone was enough to reach Diamond 3 times already😅💎💎💎
  But their spend requirement, $20K, will be VERY hard to reach.
  

  Alaska was very nice to continue my 2019 status through 2020, 2021, and 2022 despite me flying less than would qualify for even the first tier, but alas I think my time as a top tier flyer has come to an end 🥲
