I like to think of myself as someone with strong file management skills, but in reality my workflow is like:

• shoot stuff on my iphone
• download drone clips to iphone
• when editing, search thru SD cards but find nothing
• scroll thru camera roll, airdrop clips to computer

  @aaronpk Wouldn’t it be useful if iCloud maintained an index of every removable media you ever accessed, so it could help you find it across devices? You’d maybe need for media to have distinct near-field stickers on them so you could tap and snap, to record its physical look?

  Oh man, #airdrop is the thing I miss most since leaving the #iPhone behind. My #MacBook feels a little less capable without it, haha. Snapdrop.net has been pretty handy, except for it requiring a shared wifi network.
