Sometimes I get annoyed that it takes me 10 hours to make a video that takes you 10 minutes to watch.

So my goal with every video is that it gets at least as much total watch time as it took me to make it, then it's worth it.

I feel the same. Why does it take so long?

We used 40 hours of labor for 1 minute of video to estimate, so way ahead!

The rule with audio when I did radio work was one hour of work per minute of editing, so I'd say if you're getting the same ratio with video, you're already ahead of the curve!

I did some amateur interviews of County Council candidates when I lived in Hawaii, and that took 40 hours to do 40 minutes I thought that ratio would radically change as I got better at nonlinear editing, but it feels like that's not changed much. Not easy to stay in the zone tho
