Copyright is going to improve dramatically on YouTube. In the event there is a claim on the part of your video, you will be able to mute the music only (via machine learning) without having to mute or cut the entire section of the video... only the infringing song.

    PROGRESS!

After a bunch of experimentation I finally got DALL-E to work for video by combining it with a few other AI tools

Intermittent reminder that I was dreading doing something today and IT TOOK 9 MINUTES TO COMPLETE.

So if you're dreading something, just set a timer for 10 minutes and GO GET IT DONE.

It will get done way faster than you think it will.

Dude, this is amazing, not even going to lie. AI really is so cool and it's going to make it possible for people like me who are creative but can't draw be able to do art https://andys.page/posts/how-to-draw/

This is my single regret with buying the 16” MacBook Pro. Everything else I absolutely love about this laptop
    Aaron Parecki
This is why the 11" MacBook Air was my favorite form factor

That's great feedback! I'll consider that. The reason I've been on the right is that I use my right hand to shift and ring my bell. I also will do this holding a mic in my left hand (like the Bridge Pedal vid). But I hear you abt safety of the subject. Thanks.

I was riding in the back the whole time and did feel a little more comfortable with me being a buffer behind them. Not that it's sustainable to enlist another rider for all future interviews 😅

This weekend I met a wildland firefighter who was so *charmed* by Portland when he was here for the 2020 wildfires that he moved here.

If that sounds surprising, it’s because happy people rarely write op-eds on how Portland is great, actually.

Thanks Aaron. Maybe I should wear a white or yellow blazer coat or something that's a bit more hi-viz. I've been thinking a coat & tie might be a good touch anyways.
    Aaron Parecki

wow! I personally like hi-viz as a fashion thing. But out of principle, I don't think I want to wear it for something like this. I don't want my clothes to say; "I'm scared of you and this street. Pretty pls don't hit me."

Today I got a notification on my phone that YouTube had sent me a copyright report, claiming one of my videos violated copyright and my channel was going to receive a strike.

Except, my video didn't violate copyright. And YouTube didn't really send me a copyright report.

So... how long until I can train an AI model with a bunch of talking head videos of myself and then type out a script and have it generate a video of me speaking? Seems like we're not that far off.

Sure would speed up the process of filming all this course content.

My 2yo literally told me what he wanted for dinner (hot dogs, tomatoes, grapes) went w me to the store to get it, scanned it at self check out BY HIMSELF, cut up the grapes, tomatoes and hot dog with his toddler knife, put it all on his own plate and then…refused to eat dinner.

i think we should pay a bike tax when we register our cars... like straight up give more money to the city to build more bike infrastructure. Every person on a bike makes the system cheaper. It would save us money — and cause less potholes! — in the long run.
