I've been a paying Spotify customer for music since the day it launched in the US, but its continued moves to takeover and lock up the podcast space has me reconsidering that entirely. I don't want to support a company locking up the open internet.

~5yrs ago @woloski picked up the lunch tab, over mild perfunctory protest, saying that @auth0 was making a little money now & could afford it. I felt a little bad about it (but also really like free stuff so wasn't gonna decline). Seems rather quaint now.

Every worthwhile question you could think to ask has been anticipated and occupied by search-engine-optimized by assholes.

The internet hasn't been free for a really long time.
