it’s hard to overstate how freakin’ cool AuthGuardian is. I used it on a couple projects to set up multiplatform auth and permissions and saved myself DAYS of effort

    don’t sleep on this one!

lol I have this problem too! At least you collapse your “likes” and “reposts” sections by default! I’m thinking about adding a “show more comments” button that you have to click in order to show more than the last 20 or so comments.

Twitter announced support for a 9/80 schedule (1 day off every other week) but none of my reports were comfortable taking it until we announced that myself & team leads would be taking it. If you're a ppl manager, you have a responsibility to normalize actually using the perks.

It’s so strange. I find it extra baffling from tiny startups. There’s a reasonable chance the pandemic will outlive their company.

Every problem Facebook and Twitter have is because of choices they made. Shit they layered on top. Ads. AI. Algorithms. None of it was needed.

Them: OMG Look at this huge number!!11
Me: Wow. That's impressive. It also excludes A and B

    Them: SOOOOO!?
Me: That means that's the minimum. The actual number is bigger and can't easily reasonably be estimated.

    Them: NOOOOOOOO
