I guarantee people are learning more about history reading about why statues are being torn down than they ever learned by looking at those statues.

Humans are never perfect, and if more people were like Jenna and were able to recognize, apologise, learn and actually do better over time, isn't that what we all strive to do? To always try and do better?

What YouTube looked like in 2009 when we aired Episode 100 of Halo 3 Tricks. I took this screenshot when the video hit 111,777 views. Because of course. #TBT

controversial take but if you’ve demonstrated that videos you made 9 years ago don’t represent your worldview anymore- then people who throw that back at your face even after you had hid those vids are not doing it out of care for progress. they’re just assholes.

I completely agree. Physical conferences exclude the vast majority of the community they are serving... almost 100% of the time. Streaming the live proceedings isn’t the same.

Building for the online audience exclusively - allows nearly everyone to join in.

    It’s the future.

brave is a really interesting experiment and receiving money is cool! alas, it's very opaque and confusing in terms of why i received such money, from who, or who they got it from. feels a bit promotional at this stage. but, hey, a way for ad-free sites to pay the bills? cool.
    Aaron Parecki
While that's great for ad-free sites, it's a problem when Brave blocks the site's own ads and pays them in BAT instead. This wouldn't necessarily be bad, except they do this even if the website owner has no relationship with Brave or any knowledge of BAT or how to redeem it.

I spend a bunch of time scheduling games & social time with international (mostly western) friends and the discussion of timezone conversion is often a lot so I made this tool so I can say things like "I'm free in orange & green times tomorrow". Hopefully it's useful to others?
