I just held an iPhone SE and now I'm super tempted to sell my XS and get the SE instead.

also TouchID is better than FaceID, especially right now

@aaronpk I got an SE last week to see if I wanted to replace my XS, and returned it. Didn’t prefer the smaller size enough to put up with the comparably tiny screen, non-tap-to-wake display, and other UI things I’ve gotten used to...

Yeah I'm leaning that direction too. Even tho the iPhone camera is pretty good, a camera with a bigger sensor (RX100 or G7X) is still so much better. If I'm gonna post a picture I care about the quality, I'll use a real camera. The iPhone is good for random photos of my cat.

Totally—it’s a beautiful phone. I often carry a separate camera, and prefer small, cheap and simple.

I wasn't thrilled about FaceID when it launched, but the other features of the XS were worth it since I was upgrading from the 6S.

I’m still using an iPhone 7 for exactly that reason

having a fingerprint scanner is a huge reason why i went to OnePlus's phones. Face ID just doesn't work well enough in too many common scenarios, including this one.
