When I look at Twitter’s challenges, I don’t think to myself “They would be so much better off if Tweets could never be deleted and every participant in the system had 100% visibility into everybody’s interactions with no possibility of data protection.”

  • It's Time for OAuth 2.1

Trying to understand OAuth often feels like being trapped inside a maze of specs, trying to find your way out, before you can finally do what you actually set out to do: build your application.

    Aaron Parecki
Good question! It does work if you change it to https. Also I think their checkout process forces you to https.

    With OAuth 2.1:

"...there should be no need to document the most secure way to implement OAuth, since that should be the only option available when you read the spec." 👍 #oauth2

If you have a new enough phone (e.g. iPhone X+) to enjoy eSIM, I really recommend Truphone. It’s great to have the freedom to easily purchase data plans abroad, but also in the US when you’re getting close to your limit but want to get a cheaper boost.

I haven't even heard of that one, I've been using GigSky. It's so nice while I'm traveling!

@aaronpk I’ll have to give them a look!

I'm such a huge fan of the eSIM thing! It's so nice landing from an international flight and already having data service. I used to race to find the nearest SIM store and buy data as soon as I got thru immigration.

@aaronpk where can I find the physical book version of OAuth2 Servers published by Okta? And what's different about it vs. your OAuth2 Simplified book?
    Aaron Parecki
That's the same book! You can find it on amazon or https://oauth2simplified.com
