  • Building an IndieWeb Reader

Over the last several months, I've been slowly putting the pieces in place to be able to build a solid indieweb reader. Today, I feel like I finally have enough in place to consider this functional enough that I am now using it every day!

It never occurred to me that people would be blaming @oauth_2 for the Facebook mess. Friendly reminder that OAuth is what lets you control *which* parts of your Facebook data apps get access to, and what lets you revoke that access, which you can do here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications

Had a great time taking the #streampdx studio to the #portlandartmuseum today for some recording sessions! Moving the trailer is always quite an adventure!

Took a page from @mraible's playbook and went on a walk during the weekly meeting. Not a bad day for it, Portland. #productivity https://developer.okta.com/blog/2018/03/19/how-to-be-productive-at-work

I think my favorite new weird feature of Aperture is the ability to switch it into "Demo Mode" which will hide certain channels from view and from Microsub clients. This comes in handy when taking screenshots and doing presentations where I don't want to reveal some of my private channels I have!

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
