Got stuck in a research hole looking for a new laptop/travel bag. Can't quite find anything that fits all my requirements though. Must be able to fit the following:

    • Laptop: 7.75" x 11"
    • Keyboard: 5.5" x 15.25"
    • Headphones: flattens to 6.5"x7.5"x1.5" or collapses to 6.5"x5"x3"
    • Kindle, notebooks: 5"x7"
    • DSLR: 3.5" x 4.5" x 6"
    • Battery: 3.5" x 6.5" x .75"
    • Various wires and cords

For reference, I can currently fit everything in my small Tumi sling bag, except the keyboard sticks out the top by an inch and so I can't zip up the compartment. That bag would be perfect if it were just a little taller.

I want something that doesn't *look* like a backpack, and is nice enough looking to carry in a semi-professional setting. Most backpacks with two straps are too casual looking, and most of the one-strap slings are too small. More zippers are generally good, since I tend to carry lots of little things that would all get lost in a single compartment.

The only ones I've found so far that are close are:

    • https://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-31374701-Travel-Sling/dp/B00Q845R8W
    • https://www.amazon.com/Victoriatourist-Travel-Canvas-Shoulder-Lightweight/dp/B01HU9EE1Y

    Any suggestions?

What's your budget? If you want *really* nice, get a Billingham bag. They're mostly geared towards photographers, but I use mine as regular bags as well. Handmade in England, so they're not cheap. They do last decades though and look really nice, especially as they age. https://www.billingham.co.uk/photographic/bags.html

Have you checked out llbean? I've been getting backpacks from them since I was a kid. I'm sure they have some more professional-looking bags also that may fit your description. Their items last a long time from my experience.

My sister bought a bunch of bags and tested them all out. She settled on the ebags line. I like my http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/mother-lode-tls-weekender-convertible/143101?productid=1370034 very much - you can conceal the backpack straps, but then it still looks like (potentially somewhat thin - it's expansible) carry on luggage. My full-size keyboard and pretty big laptop fit in there. Since you seem like you could get by with less, not sure if this is taller enough but it's what I'd recommend on the basis of how solid my ebags luggage is maybe this one:
