My vanity call sign application just went through! I'm now officially W7APK on the radio! I even made a website in the "classic" style that I've seen on so many other ham's websites: https://w7apk.com/ I'll be expanding the website as I continue experimenting on the radio!

That site is wonderful. Needs more blink tags, tho.

Living in a "Big One" zone (Seattle), I've thought the same re: value of ham skills (and license). W7APK inspires me. And now I learn that Amy Guy (rhiaro) also has a license! Added incentive.

I was looking into it tonight actually! Looks like there's a pretty good package for the raspberry pi! I'm going to start experimenting!

Congratulations, Aaron Parecki! Have you looked at what it would take to offer low-speed text-only email gateways? When the Big One hits it would be very valuable for neighbors with WiFi on their phones to be able to send/receive emails through something reachable via, say the 6 meter band.

Cool! I got N7AZE. Some day I need to make an animated gif of an S turning sideways into an N... Staze goes to S7AZE goes to N7AZE. :)

Apparently Halid's Bosnian not Arabic. Nevermind. You shall eternally remain an enigma.

From this I infer your full name to be William 7alid Aaron Parecki.

Aaron Parecki I'm betting most/all of those are copypasta from other sites, adding the little C symbol to feel more official than just a blast of text to the screen. Younger Wraithan used to do that to some of his sites, which looked very similar to the style/era you were shooting for.

Interesting point. A lot of the other ham sites I've been seeing are actually copyright with no CC.

Curious to know if the BY-NC license is common in line with how ham radio is explicitly non commercial
