  • Spark-core Smart Air Conditioner - Spark Projects (spark.hackster.io)
This project uses a simple IR Transmitter (in this case I used a Max Power LED kit to extend the range but any IR LED would do) connected to a spark-core, to send IR commands to the Air conditioning unit over the internet.

I fell into a deep deep Internet hole today and ended up designing and buying parts for a raspberry-pi cat feeder built in to an Ikea shelf that doubles as a scratching post and bed, cat-climbing wall art, as well as a drink-mixing robot built in to an Ikea coffee table. Amazingly, all the parts are coming from Ikea, Amazon and Sparkfun. I've got some fun projects ahead of me! :-)

@aaronpk how many auto cat feeders do you need?
    Aaron Parecki
@Cheryl_Crowe I don't like my current one, Dora has figured out how to cheat it!
