As much as I enjoy the benefits of running my own server, I really don't like running my own server. #indieweb

@boringgeek @aaronpk I couldn't agree more. Moving as many of my projects to PaaS solutions as possible. Less admin time, more dev time.

@aaronpk this is why I love the plethora of PaaS solutions out there :) easier app hosting without many of the sys-admin challenges.

@aaronpk Still requires ops knowledge but @ansible lets you commit server state to git and it only takes ~weekend to learn.

@aaronpk that's why I like things like sandstorm or wordpress.com that let you move between your own server or someone else's

@Johannes_Ernst oh darn, I started moving everything over to nginx a while ago, not keen on switching back to Apache.

@aaronpk Using Apache not Nginx, but you can modify settings on a per-app basis

@aaronpk AWS: currently manual setup, automation coming soon. Linode: don't know.

@Johannes_Ernst Interesting. Can I run it on a Linode or on AWS? Can I tweak Nginx settings if I need to? #indieweb
