Career Pathways Roadmap Web Tool

- oregon.ctepathways.org
- Programming
- PHP, MySQL, AJAX
I have been the lead developer on the Career Pathways Roadmap Web Tool since 2007. The tool allows community college staff and high school teachers to create roadmaps to describe a curriculum in a consistent graphical style. The roadmaps can be embedded in the school's websites and the colors can be customized to match the school's color scheme.
The tool facilitates a group workflow by allowing multiple people to collaborate on roadmaps, with all changes maintained in a version history. The tool also produces XML and accessible versions of the roadmaps for ADA compliance.

- cpwebtool.org
- Programming, Design
- MediaWiki, Trac, Subversion, PHP, HTML, CSS
This website provides a central place for all resources relating to the Career Pathways Roadmap Web Tool. The main site runs on MediaWiki with a custom skin. This allows it to be easily updated by the contributors.
The project also uses Trac for managing development tasks and for viewing the Subversion repository. I created a skin for Trac which matches the MediaWiki skin exactly, so that browsing between the two sites is virtually seamless.

The software is installed in the retail store, and as changes are made, the website is automatically updated to match. The retailers can also add product photos using an automated system, to avoid the hassle and expense of having me update the photos manually.

Surplus Property Listing
- 2004 - 2005
- University of Oregon
- PHP, MySQL
The Surplus website was a solution to a problem at the University of Oregon. There were tons of emails being sent between departments advertising their old or spare equipment. Someone would announce "I have three printers available, who wants them?" to a mailing list. This led to all sorts of problems. There was never a complete list of currently available items, and you couldn't know when the equipment was no longer available.
I developed this website to handle organizing the surplus equipment. People all across campus can log in and post the items they have available. Others can log in and browse the currently available items, sorted by categories. It is currently being used to advertise everything from extra mice to refridgerators. This has greatly reduced the amount of equipment being unnecessarily thrown away or recycled.
