Looks like the temperature reached the peak today at 5pm, my sensor outside in the shade recorded 104.7°F (40°C). So far the AC is holding up, but I'm a bit worried that the *low* tonight is expected to be 80°!

It is supposed to be 111°F (44°C) this weekend and I legit just bought ducting and fans to try to pipe in the air conditioned air from upstairs into my studio so everything doesn't melt down there 😅

went on a little ice walk this morning while the power was out!

Went on a bike ride down to the waterfront today. The air isn't all that much worse outside than inside this point especially with an N95 mask, so thought it'd be a fun adventure.
It's hard to describe just how bad the air is, but this is what it actually looks like in Portland right now. I know it looks like a cheap Instagram filter but this is pretty much the real color outside.

wow I left Portland for a week and came back to a crisp fall smell in the air and all the leaves are turning colors and falling! 🍁

Update: it was touch and go for a while there but I made it home!
p.s. Flying in to #PDX at sunset is my favorite. -
current status: wrapped up the web standards meeting for the day, and now watching the recording of yesterday's Planning and Sustainability Commission meeting in Portland, a different kind of standards meeting.
