That’s a new scam. I got this voicemail. Looked up the number and it didn’t show up as anything, so I called back anyway. “Party line”. Probably charged me $20 per minute for the three seconds I was one. Damnit.
    Aaron Parecki
Wait, 800 numbers by definition charge the owner of the number not the caller. What happened now?

I feel a decent bike camera should cost like $30 now but they're like $200. I'm commuting again and I just want something to cover my ass in any bad situations with drivers. Any recommendations?
    Aaron Parecki
Maybe a GoPro from 3-4 generations ago? Not gonna be $30 but I don't think you'll find anything good at that price

Every time someone asks "what's the gender-neutral term for king or queen?" I resist the urge to write a ten thousand word essay on how you can't decouple class power structures from patriarchal ones, and I think that's proof that I am very chill, laid back, and fun at parties.

The other day @tmcw said the reason people think mapping isn’t a “thing” is because the environmental systems research institute is a private company and if it was public people would definitely know and see how deep its wiggly fingers are in our world

Last night Biden said that we expect cops to be psychologists, sociologist, to do everything. And he said that's why we need to fund the police. Which is crazy because that exact sentence shows who we should be funding instead of the police.

I do not trust myself with the snooze button.

I also have them set to sounds of escalating intensity as each subsequent alarm. The last one is the most obnoxious sound, and tbh the fear of hearing that is often enough to get me out of bed before it goes off.

I watched @iJustine edit a video while we were flying back from #SonyKandoTrip.

When I edit it looks like I'm at war with Final Cut, while she's editing it looks like clips are falling into timeline like snowflakes.

    She's ridiculously good at this.
