This is my biggest criticism about the way many sites are using SPAs today: I do most of my browsing on my phone where I follow a link to a page, wait for it to load (with a cold cache), spend a minute or two reading it and then leave - often with no in-site navigation at all

As you think about stack/framework choice, keep session depth front-and-center. SPA tech weight can only be justified through *high interaction amortization*.

That's not a marketing site. Or a blog. Or a news site. Probably not even a shopping site.

It seems having a YT video as “members only” then releasing it public is a BAD strategy. It feels like it’s being treated like a week old video with the few members views it had, instead of a new video.
    Aaron Parecki
oof that's rough. Would an unlisted video with a members-only community post linking to it work instead?

My printers have been busy the last couple days! This is the complete #pk1stand lineup with both left and right Stream Deck attachments for both the 15-button and Stream Deck XL!

We are still taking preorders of the MKII ATEM Mini stand along with the free custom name plate! Only a few more days to take advantage of this offer! https://pk1.tv

I would also expect our implementation to be 2.1 compliant relatively easily. We are already adopting most of the changes or are in progress of doing so 🤞

I hear you. I also don't love that it languished. We are going to be much faster on this now!

I'd be keen to chat about what you'd want and expect going forward.

Excellent! My main concern is exactly that. I'd be happy to take a look at it and provide feedback!

The race is on now, which will be finished first? OAuth 2.1 or Twitter's OAuth 2.0?

You’d think in The Year of Our Technology, Two Thousand and Twenty One, I wouldn’t have to keep Mail, Apple Messages, twitter, Discord, Slack, Telegram, and WhatsApp open and piled on top of each other just to keep communication flowing. Is there an app that hosts apps? Ugh.

The weird expectation in the Tech community is that you should be an empty vessel that just provides specs, data, AND NONE OF YOU.

If you want that, go to a blog and look at a chart. lol

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it. If I were designing something doing financial transactions (@paypal, @stripe, etc.), I would have been very nervous about this, but apparently that was not the case?
    Aaron Parecki
This is exactly why the financial industry is moving to private-key-based authentication with OAuth extensions like FAPI. It hasn't hit the consumer-facing financial APIs like PayPal/Stripe yet, but it's becoming more normal in the backend of these systems.

An email I just received prompted this tweet. What's the consensus on NAB? Are you still not going? Yes, you. Right there. Reading this.

As I said, I like the experience, & talking to different companies, but if not many creators will end up there, I'll definitely take a pass.

I have flight and hotel booked but refundable. Currently planning on going as long as things don't change too much for the worse in the next couple weeks.
