Batteries are where I started! I needed something that could last 3 days for PG&E outages. The battery tech is just not there (would have been very expensive). So I got a generator. The solar is grid-tied and is purely to zero out my yearly power usage, not a backup to the grid.

While the ''lifestyle business'' approach to YouTube can work, most 10m+ channels are operating like rapidly growing media companies, not individuals.

Just got my BC Vaccination Card, and I have to say, it's pretty cool to see the work that came out of OAuth being used to implement standardized, interoperable & privacy-protecting vaccination cards.

To my non-USA followers that this is how we do volume.

ICANN is my go-to example for minimum viable governance. They have not been perfect, but if we need a system for balancing subjective interests between domain-holders and trademark-holders it's hard to think of an obviously better way. And yes, I have seen all the cryptos.

Trying to navigate the latest Covid travel requirements for Germany, Italy and UK (plus transit thru Netherlands). The complexity and volatility of the requirements is astounding.
