There is a crazy tension in the air and everyone needs to ensure that they are paying attention to everything that is going on around them. Stay safe out there folks.

I mean I was the one taking apart computers and also turning every school project into a video project if I could so I think "nerd" suffices πŸ€“

Content creators/influencers not liking being called content creators/influencers feels exactly like Emo kids in the 2000’s not liking being called Emo kids.

I just wanted to say thank you to @Blackmagic_News for the latest firmware update for the ATEM Mini line. Really nice to NOT have to reload all graphics into the media player for every livestream. Dimmable buttons are nice as well. πŸ‘

Maybe @aaronpk have some idea on how to maybe circumvent that? Overlaying something on top of the HDMI output of a camera without ones MacBook going insane CPU-wise?
    Aaron Parecki
Yeah this is why I don't use software encoding. If you have an external device like the ATEM Mini you can add an overlay there and your computer sees it as just a webcam

Update, @Mintmobile resolved the issue. For this, I'm thankful that my $322.82 wasn't just taken from me.

However, I called, emailed, and talked to support & had no luck until I posted on this Twitter account. That is concerning to me for everyone else that isn't in my spot. https://twitter.com/thisistechtoday/status/1323388368617578496

That's super frustrating! I think the other problem here is the fact that there was a date printed on the SIM that was not the 45 day date as well. And yeah in any case they should absolutely issue a refund if the SIM isn't activated!

"Normals" *hate* markdown with the heat of a million burning Californian developers' ranches, and feel trapped by it because devs always say it's "easy."

    It's *literally* HTML version -2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Generalized_Markup_Language

At Conde Nast, we had hundreds of editors producing articles in Markdown. It was a disaster, and has taken *years* to clean up. The fundamental problem is that *everything* is valid markdown, so it's unparseable.

    Step 1 and Step 2
    Aaron Parecki
    Step 1: Vote.
Step 2: Add people into Twitter lists and then never look at your home timeline only the timelines from the lists.
