In full winter we have to leave the heat on or pipes could freeze if it gets really bad. Oregon… we have real winters :-)

I forget these things living in a large apartment building where it seemingly can't get below 70 inside and I sometimes even find myself opening the windows in the winter because it's too warm inside

Internet controlled thermostats are pretty sweet. Landed SFO, home in a few hours, so time to turn the heat back on!

😮 it gets down to 48 inside your house?? That must be an expensive heating bill

Had the Lumix S1H in my cart ready to pull the trigger...

Then remember my current laptop doesn’t even like rendering 4K in a reasonable timeframe.

So I emptied the cart defeated 😭

Gotta bite the bullet and switch to Premiere so you can eventually switch to Windows and get a beefy machine! I switched a year ago and I don't really miss Final Cut anymore.

"What makes this site different is that it also serves as a repository for other things I post in other places on the Internet. That way, if I’m kicked off of Facebook, or if Twitter shuts down, or if I just can’t stand Instagram any longer, that content doesn’t just disappear. It will always have a home here. The content is mine. I’m in control."

Someone just emailed me to ask for a file and I was going to respond "Sure thing!" but then saw that "Sure thing!" was in the list of autosuggestions, so I had to change it to "Gotcha, Cap'n!" just on principle. *shakes fist*

AirPods Pro 2 Feature Suggestion: Real-world Replay.

You squeeze your AirPods and they replay the last 5 seconds of ambient sound.

Mics on AirPods Pro are already listening to and processing ambient sound. Why not buffer it so you can hear the things you missed?

The spec is literally the reason why microformats2 didn’t end up using `data-*` attributes. It isn’t “advice” in the spec; it *is* the spec. It specifies how `data-*` attributes should and shouldn’t be used.
