Just mixed myself a perfect whiskey sour:

    2oz. bourbon whiskey
    ΒΎ oz lemon juice
    ΒΎ oz simple syrup
    1 egg white

Shake with ice. Strain into a chilled glass. I used a stevia/erythritol sweetener instead of sugar to keep it keto friendly. Delish!

I wanted @aaronpk to go to the store for nacho ingredients. He was under a sleeping cat (and obviously couldn't move because that's illegal) so I shook the bag of treats and she came running.
I still feel bad I disturbed a sleeping cat due to laziness.

#37 Show links from <dfn> in chat response?

    Aaron Parecki
I think this would be a good idea.

In order for that to be possible, I'd need the URL available as a Microformat property, since that's how Loqi gets the definitions right now.

Currently the wiki page's URL is the h-entry url, which makes sense. Maybe the linked URL could be a second url property in the h-entry? Loqi could look for the first URL that is not on indieweb.org when creating the message.

Ultimately I think this would have to be done by the wiki plugin that creates the <dfn> tag (https://github.com/aaronpk/mediawiki-mf2-dfn) or manually for the wiki pages that override the plugin.

See, now, I read that as OAuth, which is the no.1 most powerful sign that I have been working in this industry too long I have yet experienced.

Yay: discovering that @okta has a great article for adding OIDC authentication via nginx auth_request (https://developer.okta.com/blog/2018/08/28/nginx-auth-request)

Boo: It relies on an early-access feature that requires you to reach out to your account rep to enable. #srelife
    Aaron Parecki
Can you clarify which early-access feature that is? I didn't think this required anything special, I tested it with my developer account that has no special privileges.

Specifically Overland. Will probably write my own server component in Python, but the iOS side being done is handy.
    Aaron Parecki
Awesome. I'll gladly link to your Python server component from Overland's page if you publish the source code somewhere!

Decided to re-activate my @Flickr Pro.
New owner @SmugMug has been around for years and is passionate about photos. They’ve responded well to criticisms & suggestions (preserving CC photos). @DonMacAskill did an AMA recently that showed a lot of care and thoughtfulness: https://www.reddit.com/r/photography/comments/a71mh3/hi_my_name_is_don_macaskill_and_im_the_cofounder/

One example: β€œWe are actively saving accounts for photographers who are no longer with us”.

Dear @Flickr, here are a few more to save. I lost a good friend last year (flic.kr/cindyli @CindyLi enwp.org/Cindy_Li), another the year before (flic.kr/bmindful @tedr), and another years ago (flic.kr/thebrad). I’m sure there are many more early Flickr users who have since passed away. Please speak-up if you know of any.

Flickr already has the best API of any photo site, and thus has the best Brid.gy support for IndieWeb sites wanting to syndicate to Flickr, and backfeed responses.

I have more positive thoughts about @Flickr’s future potential with its new owners, especially with respect to even better IndieWeb integration. Β More on that later. For now, see the additional research and links being collected and documented by the IndieWeb Community:

    https://indieweb.org/Flickr

And if you also decide to upgrade your Flickr account to Pro, there’s a 15% off code (FLICKRPRO15) that’s good until 2019-015.

Hi, I'm Aaron Parecki, Director of Identity Standards at Okta, and co-founder of IndieWebCamp. I maintain oauth.net, write and consult about OAuth, and participate in the OAuth Working Group at the IETF. I also help people learn about video production and livestreaming. (detailed bio)

I've been tracking my location since 2008 and I wrote 100 songs in 100 days. I've spoken at conferences around the world about owning your data, OAuth, quantified self, and explained why R is a vowel. Read more.
