    @skjonas From what I can tell, the only way to get more than 2 Thunderbolt "chains" is to get a Mac Pro which has 6 ports on the back.

    @skjonas Yeah, that's certainly how it's intended, but so many Thunderbolt devices don't provide the additional port and can't be chained!

    @skjonas The docks I found don't even have additional Thunderbolt ports, just provide the single port for daisy chaining.

    @aaronpk thunderbolt daisy chains. Shouldn't need more ports unless you already have long chains, right?

    @trentonl Thunderbolt daisy chains *in theory*, but in practice most devices don't actually have an additional port so they terminate the potential chain.
