...if they don't just delete everyone's photos first and then post an "our incredible journey". Am I cynical? Yes.

Very important news for the internet:

I found a tape I recorded of me pretending to host news when I was around 7 years old 📺 Stay tuned for a link to the recording.

I absolutely did this too! So what's the modern day equivalent of this for kids? is this what tiktok is for?

@aaronpk awesome! I did the same last week, and agreed with a customer to move too. Sadly none in the TB/sec range, but every message helps.

Any suggestions for a solid alternative to Cloudflare if we still need that kind of a service?
    Aaron Parecki
I haven't looked around much yet but I'm sure there are plenty of options. I figured I'd flip this switch off and wait a couple weeks and if it becomes a problem I'll investigate more.

Thanks Aaron. Maybe I should wear a white or yellow blazer coat or something that's a bit more hi-viz. I've been thinking a coat & tie might be a good touch anyways.
    Aaron Parecki
    why not both!

That's great feedback! I'll consider that. The reason I've been on the right is that I use my right hand to shift and ring my bell. I also will do this holding a mic in my left hand (like the Bridge Pedal vid). But I hear you abt safety of the subject. Thanks.
    Aaron Parecki
I was riding in the back the whole time and did feel a little more comfortable with me being a buffer behind them. Not that it's sustainable to enlist another rider for all future interviews 😅

☑️ Not wanting to make them
⬜️ Feeling obligated to make them

(Unless it’s a specific idea I generally don’t enjoy them and I wouldn’t expect someone to enjoy watching something I didn’t enjoy making)
    Aaron Parecki
Where's the checkbox for "want to want to make them"

@aaronpk Do you know if the oauth playground recently changed? It seems as if encoded values in the state parameter is no longer preserved on the redirect? https://github.com/dotMorten/WinUIEx/issues/75#issuecomment-1230889995
    Aaron Parecki
no I don't think anything has changed, at least not since April 2020, but let's DM about this because I'd like to know more about what you're trying to do

Fascinating! Does auto follow-me mode also avoid obstacles like trees and powerlines?
    Aaron Parecki
Some of the drones have front/back sensors for obstacle avoidance and will go around/over things, but I think in all cases power lines are too small for them to see. I just think it's interesting that the UK makes this allowance, since the US does not have this exception.

@aaronpk 56 GB for the software only? That is mind-boggling. Adobe's Creative Suite was the last thing I owned, and it was partially responsible for me to choose a different professional path, one where I didn't have to keep using Adobe CS. I miss Photoshop sometimesl (I even used to teach it at PNCA), but I minimized my toolset, and don't do anything that can't be done in Acorn.

    Aaron Parecki
ok that might have been a slight exaggeration, but it gets close to that once you install Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Audition, Premiere, and After Effects, all of which I have used somewhat regularly.

@aaronpk Are you using Gimp now or something else?

    Aaron Parecki
no i really don't like that software. I'm using mostly Lightroom on iOS and Affinity Photo on mac, and Keynote for some things I used to do in Photoshop too

@aaronpk Oh, I so wish Apple could dust off Aperture and do a Photoshop equivalent. Together then with Logic and Final Cut, they’d have a real contender.

    Aaron Parecki
I know right? Logic and FCP are great! I used Aperture a ton back in the day
